Leesa Dickson, Claremore Public Schools  Reading teacher, honored by her husband, Al Dickson, with a Paul Harris Fellow for 25 years of “Service Above Self”.  Dickson’s elite award recognized his wife for her love and dedication to improving students’ scholastic ability through the love of books. Leesa was expecting her husband to be honored for the 6:30 a.m. Reveille Rotary meeting and thought she was surprising him with her attendance only to find out that the honor and surprise was all hers.

Leesa’s 25 years of teaching also includes Justus-Tiawah as well as Claremore Public Schools.

Al Dickson’s outstanding dedication to Rotary, including the fourth Paul Harris Award promotes domestic and international service projects, including sponsoring a foreign-exchange student, eradicating polio, Shoes for Orphan Souls, sponsor the drilling of water wells in Nicaragua and other foreign countries, promoting a Medical Supply Network located in Tulsa, Oklahoma that ships medical supplies worldwide, and funding of many more international-humanitarian projects.

To learn more about Rotary activities or for consideration of membership, please call Earlene Washburn at 918-694-3384.
