Letter from New Rotarian Robert Reed
Hello A.C
Thanks for the welcome letter and thank you for welcoming me in person on your last visit to Skiatook.
I wanted to let you know that your words about our duties and serving the community had an impact on me.
You stressed the importance of being an active Rotarian, whether new or seasoned.
The kindheartedness of our club & the direction of our President, Mrs. Dulaney, further set an atmosphere that encourages ideas and service.
I brought an idea to our club about helping local seniors protect at least one room in their home from cold, winter drafts.
The reaction from my fellow Rotarians was unanimous support. They didn’t care that the idea came from a “Green Horn”. Members quickly volunteered for the hands on work as well as donating the money needed to finance the efforts.
I am honored to be associated with these people. They have welcomed me to their club with open arms & I will be forever grateful.
I look forward to a lifetime of Rotarian service and bringing new members to our club.
God Bless America & Merry Christmas to You & You’re Family,
C. Robert Reed
